too long...

wow...do i suck at blogging...it would seem that it gets bumped to the "don't even worry about it" list once anything else presents itself that doesn't involve typing...somehow in high school, i by passed that class and have been struggling ever since.

lots has happened since July 17th...

Max and I rolled over to the GA state Championship on random weekend...it was fun! Very hot...what else would you expect in August in the south. Fast trails...the race was hosted by Gone Riding and they do such a great job...Terri and David Berger run a top notch series. I have enjoyed racing with them for many years...thinking about joining them next year for a season!?!

there was about a month off between the GA race and our next race...lots of training, might have overdone it cause after this race I was never as fresh as I should have been...

On September 7th the SCRCS got back in full swing...on a side note, I was not a fan of prolonging our season for 2 months, it did allow me to go out of state and race some but it also made for a long season, anyway....this race was so much fun last year i was really looking forward to it this year...i had a few things working against me...i wasn't able to pre ride because of a wedding on Saturday and the wedding was late so the 5 hour drive got me up to Oxford around 12a. Surprisingly enough, I was feeling good in the a.m. and so the race went...fast, Tracy stomped the field and I hung on for 3rd out of the largest to date expert field in our series...10!

Up next was Butts...it was a good race...hard! It's always tough cause it's flat so you're going all out the whole race with no recovery...i think I finished 2nd on the day...behind Tracy martin again...that will become a theme for the res of the season!

The the finale...The 1st Annual Magee Lungbuster. it was fun...those trails have started to become my favorite little place to go and ride for a few hours...the race was organized great and the course was perfect. I had an ok race...didn't feel all that well but maintained a steady tempo for the race to round off the podium in 3rd...but good enough to win overall in Master Expert for the State Champion and the Series Champion!
